Making Money Taking Paid Surveys! Is It Possible?

Get paid to take online surveys is a phrase that you’ve probably heard (seen) once or twice on the internet. Everywhere you turn, there are people from both side, debating on whether you can make money taking online surveys, or if all online surveys are just scams. You’ve probably seen an ad or two for paid surveys as well. I am sure most of you are familiar with the image of a person with a laptop in one hand, and a cup of coffee in another, and a big old smile on his/her face, taking online surveys and getting paid doing so! What do you think? Do you think it’s possible to make money taking paid surveys? Would you like to find out if you can actually get paid to take online surveys?…
Well, the truth is, yes you can make a little extra cash in your spare time by taking online surveys, but, not as much as those ads suggest. Companies who want to know whats on the minds of their customers are willing to pay for your opinion. And evidently the market research industry is a huge industry. Companies do spend millions of dollars every year to conduct market research studies, and find out what consumers are saying about their products.

So yes, there is money to be made taking online surveys. But, the thing is, you cant expect to get rich taking surveys, unless you spend every second of your daily life in front of computer and fill out online surveys, which probably isn’t gonna happen. But, what can happen is that you can make some extra money doing paid surveys. Possibly a couple hundred dollars a month, or perhaps a little more.

How much money you can make taking paid surveys?
To be honest, it depends on a couple things like, the number of legitimate survey company you register with, the number of surveys each company sends out on weekly bases, how many of those surveys you qualify for, and the most important factor is how much time and effort are you willing to put into it. I myself have been taking paid surveys off and on for about 6 years now ( I used to spend a lot of time taking online surveys, but I cant do it anymore, since i don’t have much free time). I have had months that I’d make more than $700 a month working probably about on hour or so every day taking surveys.
Let me put it this way, if you have time, and are willing to put some effort into it, you can make a decent amount of money taking paid surveys.
Beware of paid survey scams
Here is the important part. There are a lot of paid survey scams out there. So you need to make sure of legitimacy of a research company before you spend hours upon hours taking surveys. You want to make sure you will get paid for your efforts. Most legitimate paid survey companies are free to join, so if you come across one asking you to pay for registration, do a little more research.

Tips for online paid survey takers
Through away email Register a free email account just for your surveys. Use that email only for registering with paid survey companies and reviving invitations to surveys. Because after a week or so of registering with these survey sites, you will get invited to a lot of surveys, so it’s a good idea to have a separate email account just for surveys, otherwise your primary email will be full of survey invitations, which is not a bad thing. In fact it’s a positive thing, obviously the more surveys you take the more money you make. But a separate email address will simply make it easier and more convenient to track and respond to your survey invitations.

Register with Paypal Although you can get paid by check, gift cards and other ways, almost all paid survey sites pay by pay pal, which is a very fast and convenient way to get paid. If you don’t already have an account with pay pal go ahead and sign up. It’s free, and it enable you to receive your payments instantly. Plus, if you are an online shopper, Paypal is a very popular and safe way to pay for your shopping as well.

Register with more than one survey company I recommend that you register with as many survey sites as you can, obviously because it increases your chances of getting invited to more surveys, which enables you to make more money.

Refer others
Not all but most legitimate paid survey companies offer a commission for each new survey taker (or “panelist” as they are often called) you refer to them. Some will pay a flat fee of say $2 or so, but some give you a better deal, they give you a percentage of what the other person earns for as long as they are active. But it doesn’t mean they take money away from that person and give it to you, no, your referrals wont lose anything, you just get a little extra money. So, if you have friends and family that may be interested, be sure to ask them to register under your name.

OK, now you are ready to get paid to take surveys, but how do you find these paid survey companies?
How will you know if they are legitimate paid survey companies? Well, a good place to start would be the BBB’s site, you can type in the company’s name and see what comes up. You can also use get paid to forums to find legitimate paid survey sites. And of course you can check out my huge list of legitimate paid surveys post, where I continuously add and update the list with survey sites that do pay and are legit. Make Money Flipping Websites

Domain name flipping is the simple process of buying a domain name and then selling it for more money – so what exactly is website flipping all about?
If you’d prefer something a little more challenging (and potentially a lot more profitable) then website flipping might just be for you. It’s a longer process but the time you invest in this particular activity can net you a lot of cash. And there is more than one way of doing it as well, as you’re about to find out.
There is an ever growing band of people who have figured out that flipping websites is a great way to build up skills, knowledge and an impressive income at the same time.
The basic idea starts with you looking for a topic which does well online. Once you have a successful website on that topic (which you’ll do in one of the following two ways) you can offer it for sale to someone else.
The first way to do this is to start from scratch by selecting a domain name, building a website around it and building it up until it gets a good amount of traffic and interest from people who are into that subject. This can take some time as you will need to get the site indexed in Google before you can take advantage of the amount of search engine traffic that can come your way.
The idea is to build a site that has real money making potential, as well as being able to generate a good volume of traffic. You can do this by integrating elements such as Google Adsense, affiliate links and paid advertising into the site – and in some cases, paid memberships as well.
The second route to follow is easier – but it requires a little bit more research on your part. If the idea of building a site from scratch doesn’t appeal to you but you still want to sell websites for profit then this method should be the one to try. The trick is to look for a website that someone has built which is getting a reasonable amount of traffic. Keyword research will reveal those subject areas and keywords which are perennially popular online, and it is these kinds of websites you should be looking for – something that will always be pulling in traffic.
The fact is that you cannot simply pick a great domain name and stick a few articles and affiliate links on a website and expect it to make money. It takes time and effort, and that’s why websites which have the potential to do really well end up failing. It’s not so much the site as the owner in many cases.
So if you make a reasonable offer to that owner for their website, the chances are good that they will be only too pleased to get shot of the site. And that gives you the chance to get in there and really develop it in order to build on the traffic and potential it already has.
After a few months – when you are earning a dollar or more every day from your website – you can think about selling it. There are a number of websites and forums that have sections for flipping websites to other people, and depending on the profits you are making and the traffic you are getting you could make anything between a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars by flipping just one site.
And once you’ve done that and no doubt learned a lot from the experience, it’s a case of ‘rinse and repeat!’ There is no limit to the number of websites you can flip at any one time, although don’t forget you need a few months to go by before you make your first sale since you need your websites to develop before you can flip them. Once you get the ball rolling though you can expect to be selling one or more every week.
But before you become a ‘pro flipper’ for a living, why not leave us a comment in the box below? Then all you need to do is start scouting round for your very first flippable website!
